I drew this about four years ago while Jill Morris and I were working on a different book, this one a children’s book for adults about moving to New York. It was in among the notes for that book which Jill recently rediscovered. This was originally the mental map New Jerseyans have of New York. Now that I have said that I worry my re-labeling of it made it less funny. Great. Well, anyway, enjoy this drawing from a book that could have been.
